This issue explores Norwegian immigrant communities “all over the map”‚Äîa nineteenth-century idealist community in Pennsylvania; a Norwegian self-made sugarcane magnate in Hawaii; the forgotten community of Norwegians and other immigrants in mental institutions; and the Kven, a community of people of Finnish descent in Norway who also were part of Norwegian immigration to the New World.
