Norwegian-American artist Lars Fletre (1904-1977) was a designer at Hadelands Glassverk in Javnaker, Norway, from 1941 to 1950. The design of squirrels on the bookmark is of sandblasted glass panels on a door or room divider. On the back of the bookmark is a design with a bird, and an explanation of the designs.

This bookmark was produced in conjunction with the exhibit Lars Fletre: Resistance, Resilience, Artistry, open at Vesterheim through March 1, 2027.
