Artist Statement:
Bunadsplast is made for all of us who wants to show pride for our cultural heritage. Each one is different and unique. They are made of plastic and non-recyclable. Plastic is very durable, but 90% of the things we produce have become trash within a few months. If my art lasted for 20 generations, wouldn’t that be a good thing?

Siri’s education and inspiration of Norwegian folk art comes from objects. She worked as a photographer for antique auction houses in Oslo, Norway. There she had the privilege of seeing and touching thousands of objects in a variety of materials.
