Vesterheim is published twice a year, featuring in-depth articles focusing on the museum’s priceless collections of artifacts, Norwegian-American history and culture, and up-to-date information on all museum events, classes, tours, and education opportunities. The magazine is a benefit to Vesterheim members with extra copies for sale in the Museum Store.

Articles in this issue include the Hardanger fiddle featuring Vesterheim’s Hardanger collection by fiddler Eden Ehm; the stories of Norwegian-American fiddlers in the Midwest by Beth Rotto, Scandinavian Foot-Notes band member, and Anna Rue, Associate Director of the Center for the Study of Upper Midwestern Cultures at the University of Wisconsin, Madison; and stories of the huldrefolk in Norway by Arna Rennan.

It also includes information about the music program on Rauland Campus at the University of South-Eastern Norway and an article from Anniken Krutnes, Norway’s Ambassador to the United States.
