Vesterheim is published twice a year, featuring in-depth articles focusing on the museum’s priceless collections of artifacts, Norwegian-American history and culture, and up-to-date information on all museum events, classes, tours, and education opportunities.
This issue’s theme is “The 200th Anniversary of the Restauration Sailing” and it features an article of a presentation given by Paul Hasvold, “The Restauration Folk.” Paul was a Lutheran pastor who gave this presentation many times for Vesterheim before his passing in 2015.
This issue also includes an article by the Norwegian Ambassador Anniken Huitfeldt, “Restauration: A Tradition in Pictures” by Knut Djupedal, and “Curating Common Ground: Leading with Our Hearts: Nordic, Sami, and Ojibwe Designs from Nature” by Karen Keenan.
