Filled with blank pages for your own writing, the cover features the drawing Thor and the Viking Ship by Norwegian-American artist Lars Fletre.
The design is from a pencil drawing made in 1933. Fletre used the Norse god Thor and a Viking ship for a dramatic design on the cover of a booklet that celebrated the anniversary of an organization of people in America from Voss, Norway.
This journal was produced in conjunction with the exhibit Lars Fletre: Resistance, Resilience, Artistry, open at Vesterheim through March 1, 2027.
