Description
Non-plenum rated thermostat wire is electrical cable that has been rated for installation in non air circulating spaces in buildings, such as closed walls. It is often used to connect thermostat controls to a main power circuit via the ceiling. It is less expensive than plenum thermostat wire, but is more toxic if it burns. It is commonly used in commercial buildings with fewer people present, such as warehouses and distribution centers.
